4 Great Christian Adoption Quotes

Are you a Christian looking to adopt? Do you need some encouraging words about your decision? You have come to the right place. Choosing to adopt is a major life decision that not only impacts your life, but it also impacts the child’s life and the lives of your family and friends. There are many great quotes out there about adoption. Some of them come from the scriptures. I have compiled a list of the four greatest Christian adoption quotes and have provided them for you below.

  1. The first great quote comes straight from the scriptures. God calls us to love the orphan child. In Psalms 82:3, the author writes “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” The scripture is clear. God wants us to take care of his children. We are adopted into God’s family, and we should do the same for orphans.
  2. The second great quote comes from the late Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa says “Do you want to do something beautiful for God? There is a person who needs you. This is your chance.” Mother Teresa is right. There are children all over the world who need someone to love them and adopt them into their families. You can be that person.
  3. The third great quote comes from John Piper. John Piper is both an author and a pastor. He says “The Gospel is not a picture of adoption; adoption is a picture of the Gospel.” John Piper is right. The Gospel calls us to love others and adoption is one way we can show love to others.
  4. The fourth great quote comes from one of the great Christian authors, Max Lucado. Max Lucado says “If anybody understands God’s ardor for his children, it’s someone who has rescued an orphan from despair, for that is what God has done for us. God has adopted you. God sought you, found you, signed the papers, and took you home.” Max Lucado is correct. Just like God sought us and took us home, we can find orphans and take them home. That is what God calls us to do.

I found these quotes to be very inspiring and I hope you do too. I pray that your decision to adopt will be blessed in many ways.
